Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to India Milinda Moragoda delivered a lecture on the topic “India-Sri Lanka Relations: Promoting Connectivity, Catalysing Prosperity” at the Ananta Centre, New Delhi on Wednesday (30), under the Centre’s Ambassador series.

Opening his remarks, High Commissioner Moragoda elaborated on the broad contours that define the unique characteristics of the past and present dynamics of Indo-Lanka relationship, and the way forward. He elaborated as to how the Indo-Lanka relationship has grown from a transactional perspective to a special relationship in the recent years.

Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to India Milinda Moragoda who was on a three-day official visit to the State of Odisha last week visited the Bhubaneswar centre of the Mahabodhi Society of India (MBSI).

At the Mahabodhi centre, High Commissioner Moragoda, Madam Jennifer Moragoda and the delegation were ceremonially welcomed by the boy scouts and girl guides of the MBSI school, which is managed by the Mahabodhi Society of India. Following the ceremonial welcome, the High Commissioner paid obeisance at the shrine room and the Bodhi tree of the Centre. Three Sri Lankan Buddhist monks who are resident at the Centre, chanted seth pirith and blessed the High Commissioner and his delegation. 

High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to India Milinda Moragoda paid the farewell call on Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India Shri Nitin Gadkari today (24) in New Delhi. 

At the outset, High Commissioner Moragoda thanked the Indian Road Transport and Highways Minster for the cooperation that the latter extended to him during his tenure in New Delhi. 

Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to India Milinda Moragoda who is on a three-day official visit to the State of Odisha met with the Chief Minister and the Governor of the State. 

High Commissioner Moragoda’s meeting with the Odisha Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik was held today (22) at the Naveen Niwas in Bhubaneswar. Their discussion, which was held in a very cordial manner, recalled the historical ties and the deep cultural bond between the State of Odisha and Sri Lanka.
